Restaurant
Customer surveys
Post-meal ratings + comments → operator review tab.
The customer survey card appears at the bottom of the menu page. Diners tap a star (1-5), optionally leave a comment + email, and submit. You see everything aggregated in the Surveys tab.
How to enable it
It's on automatically for Pro+. No setup needed. Open Stores → your store → Surveys to see incoming responses.
What you see as an operator
- 30-day average rating at the top
- Star distribution histogram (how many 1-star, 2-star, etc.)
- Recent 100 responses, newest first, color-bordered by rating (red for 1-star, green for 5-star)
- Each response shows: stars + comment (when given) + email (when given) + which table + timestamp
What diners see
A "How was your visit?" card at the bottom of the menu page. Tap a star → optional comment textarea + email field appear → tap Send feedback. The card themes itself to match your menu's selected theme.
Reply to negative reviews privately. When a diner leaves a 1-2 star review with an email, send a personal note in the next 24 hours apologizing and offering a small gesture (a free dessert next visit, a discount code). The data is overwhelming — operators who reply to negative reviews convert ~30% of unhappy diners into repeat visitors.
What's NOT in the data
- ❌ No verification that the person actually visited (anyone can leave a review)
- ❌ No moderation queue — feedback shows in your tab as soon as it's submitted
- ❌ Not exposed publicly (these are private to you, unlike Google reviews)
If you want to publicly showcase reviews, copy the best ones into your About page section manually.
